Jinenkan
The Jinenkan was founded by
Fumio Manaka (martial name "Unsui") in 1996. A complete martial art,
Jinenkan is about distance and timing. It incorporates throws, joint
locks, grappling and weapons. It is not a sport with rules like judo or
boxing. Jinenkan is about discovering what works and what doesn't; it's
about what's real in the martial arts world. Jinenkan also has strong
fitness, balance and flexibility components that can be practiced well
into your later years.
Training is not limited to dojo
training. It involves marksmanship, stealth, psychology, survival
skills and more. The more advanced you become, the more the art
unfolds.
Its ultimate purpose is to be able to live well as a human being and make the world a better place to live in the process.
Instructors are at least the rank of Sandan (3rd degree) and are certified by the Honbu to teach.
The
testing process is strict and everyone, regardless of rank or
experience in other organizations, must start at the beginning and work
their way up.
